Andres Iniesta Talks Contract Renewal, Ernesto Valverde

Andres Iniesta says that he isn’t worried about his contract renewal situation and talks about his new manager Ernesto Valverde.

Andres Iniesta has been the heart and soul of the Barcelona midfielder for many years. The Spaniard has done many things at the club and international level. For Spain, he scored the winning goal in the 2010 World Cup Final. In addition to that, he was one of the leaders for two treble winning teams with Barca. As he approaches his mid-30’s, the future is very interesting for Iniesta. The reason is because there isn’t that much time left in the great career of the Spanish midfielder.

At the new ‘Cruyff Court’ in Fuentealbilla, the hometown of Iniesta, Don Andres talked about his current situation. This includes his contract situation among other things. In addition to that, he talked about the potential of him playing for his hometown team Albacete. Most importantly, people wanted to know how Barca will adjust with a new manager. Iniesta talked about all of this in a recent interview.

Luis Enrique decided to leave the club after three seasons with Barca. He left as a very successful manager winning a treble in his first season. In addition to that, he won two trophies in his second season including La Liga and the Copa Del Rey. However, his tenure didn’t end well. Despite the good start, Barca only won one trophy in 2017, the Copa Del Rey. Now, Barca moves on with new manager Ernesto Valverde. Iniesta talked about how the team will adjust to him.

Overall, Iniesta has a lot of thinking to do as the season begins. It all depends on if his contract is renewed with Barca. For now, the fans can enjoy his brilliance for another season. In the end, everyone would love to see Iniesta end his career with Barca. However, anything is possible and Albacete may not be out of the question. We will see what Iniesta does as the season progresses.
