Sport magazine has reported that Barca are looking to secure Kalidou Koulibaly in the next transfer window in order to strengthen the squad’s defense. The Senegal international has had a fantastic last season with the Italian side, Napoli, becoming one of the club’s most valuable assets. He is also among the most talented centre-backs in the Italian league currently.

The France born has an impressive physical strength along with great ability to compose himself as the last defender. The 28-year-old has managed to start in 18 of the club’s 20 fixtures this season, proving that he could be Barca’s consistent solution at the back. The Catalonian club, however, are to face competition from the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City for the Senegal Captain.

Lisandro Martinez displayed an outstanding performance with the Argentine football club, Defensa y Justicia, that earned him a move to Eredivisie side, Ajax, in the summer. The 21-year-old has started in all of his 25 appearances for the Dutch side, proving to be the rightful replacement for the departed Kopa Trophy winner (Best U21 player) Matthijs de Ligt.

Some of the youngster’s attributes are his confidence and composure along with his great passing skills, and at such a young age could really prove to be one of the best centre-backs in the future. Barca could secure the talented Argentine in the summer transfer window in 2020 and develop him to be one of the futures at the club.
