Eric Garcia of Manchester City is an academy graduate from the infamous La Masia youth academy. The 19-year-old has come up the ranks of Barcelona as a local boy before taking on a new adventure in England. However, despite being provided several chances this season in the Premier League, Garcia’s future is under danger as Pep Guardiola contemplates a massive defensive revamp.
The Catalonian coach is eager on signing Kalidou Koulibaly, however, reports now claim that the Sky Blues have close in on Nathan Ake of the Premier League. If either of the two player’s are to arrive at the Etihad Stadium, then it would severely limit Garcia’s game time which would prevent him from achieving his potential.
Eric Garcia being a local Barcelona boy coming up the youth academy of the club would be more than happy to return to the Camp Nou and play for the senior team. Garcia is on a contract until the summer of 2022 and the Catalans could sign him for a lowered fee this season if Guardiola signs a superstar defender.
