Aleix Vidal to be offloaded by Barcelona this January

Vidal has been a deadweight for far too long. Swansea are the new entrants in the race for Vidal’s signature. Napoli, Roma and Sevilla were earlier interested in signing him. However, Sevilla have pulled out because of the performance of Mariano, their first-choice right-back. Roma and Napoli may make an offer but it has to match Barca’s €12 million valuation of him. However, Swansea may come away with Vidal this winter. Swansea need a player to replace the ageing and declining Angel Rangel and Vidal might provide the perfect option. However, they can only offer to take him on loan, which might be accepted as the club looks to provide him with playing time. Therefore, Swansea are the firm favourites to sign Aleix Vidal now.
