Arda Turan wants to stay at Barcelona

According to Sport, Barcelona have received offers from two Chinese clubs for Arda Turan. Beijing Guoan and Guangzhou Evergrande have made offers of €40 million for his services. This has certainly interested Robert Fernandez. Barca paid €34 million to bring him to the club. He has done quite well this season but he is nearing 30. Thus, the China deal would be beneficial in terms of finance because no European club would pay so much.

But Arda Turan is not interested in going to China. He stated, “I read about the offers from China from the papers. It’s how these things work. Clubs might be talking, (but) I am very happy in Barcelona. I have a contract until the age of 33. I’m in the greatest club of the world. What more can I say? I believe I am an important piece in Barcelona’s squad. I try to do my best, I believe my performance is proof of it.”

This is a huge blow to the Barca management, who might have been looking to get rid of Turan for a large profit.
