Here are the player ratings for Barcelona’s 4-0 road victory over Eibar. There are some good things to take away from the match.

Barcelona managed to dominate in a 4-0 road victory over La Liga opponents, Eibar. Denis Suarez scored his first goal for the club. In addition to that milestone, Neymar is getting close to a very major one of those: 100 goals for Barca. Of course, Lionel Messi had to make his mark on this match by scoring and Luis Suarez was involved in two of the goals scored. With that in mind, here are the player ratings for the match.

Goalkeeper

Marc-Andre ter Stegen 7.5
The German keeper made some good saves to keep the clean sheet for the Catalans.

Defenders

Sergi Roberto 5.5
While is teammates weren’t as great, Roberto struggled the most of the 4 defenders in this match.

Samuel Umtiti 5.5
Umtiti hasn’t done well when it comes to passing out of the back. However, he was once again very good in the air.

Jeremy Mathieu 5
Mathieu replaced Pique at the second center back position. He lacks confidence due to his lack of playing time and his injury problems.

Jordi Alba 7
Despite the defense not playing at it’s best, Jordi was the most active of the defenders. In addition, he was very involved in the attack on the left side of the pitch. However, he may be hurt as he was limping at the end of the match.

Midfielders

Sergio Busquets INC.
Sergio Busquets was subbed off after 10 minutes because he hurt his ankle so no grade for this one. However, his substitute did make an impact on the match and that will be talked about a little bit later. In case he won’t be able to play for the next few matches, the other midfielders must be ready to play big minutes.

Ivan Rakitic 7.5
Rakitic had to change his position due to the injury to Busquets. He did have a pretty solid match and hopefully he’ll play better going forward.

Arda Turan 5
Pretty much an inconsistent night for the Turkish winger. He did get booked for a confrontation.

Lionel Messi 9.5
What else can you say about Barca’s number 10? The stars align when he is on the ball and he just simply plays better than everyone. Just the usual from the magician.

Luis Suarez 7
He scored and assisted in the match. His involvements were good and he also hit the post so he should’ve had a brace.

Neymar 8

Neymar is getting back to form. He’s getting closer to the 100 goal milestone for the club so thats something to watch for.

Substitutes

Denis Suarez 7.5
Came on for Busquets and immediately made an impact, scoring the opening goal. He needed that for his confidence.

Aleix Vidal 8
He notched an assist with a good pass for Neymar and he did well up the right flank in his bench role. Good match from him.

Paco Alcacer INC.

In addition to the other two subs, Paco Alcacer got a few minutes. However, it wasn’t enough time to warrant a grade for the match. He could see time in case of another injury (which are starting to pile up again).

Lucho managed to get some of his other midfielders some time on the pitch. In addition, he got contributions from Aleix Vidal who has once again proved his worth on the right side of the defense. However, another one of those big midfielders went down in Sergio Busquets. Luis Enrique will have to rely on Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez to play well in the coming weeks.

Overall, he and the team got the desired result as the three points will help in trying to stay in the title race. In addition, Barca will play in their second leg of the Copa Del Rey quarterfinals against Real Sociedad. The Blaugrana won 1-0 in the first leg at the Anoeta. Of course, just because the match is at home doesn’t mean it will be easy. As well as they played against Eibar, they must be able to stay consistent.
