Ex-Barcelona star Ronaldinho prefers a different Barca attacking trio than the current Messi, Suarez, and Neymar attack.

Many great attacking players have come through Barcelona at one point in their careers. They would use their talent to dazzle the fans of the Camp Nou and even away fans too. Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Neymar form arguably the best attacking trio the sport has ever seen. They continue to show why they’re one of the best trios to ever play together. However, a former Barca star thinks that there’s one trio that he prefers over MSN. An all-time great attacking player in his own right, Brazilian legend Ronaldinho prefers a trio that he played with during his time at Barcelona.

Ronaldinho played with some really excellent attacking players over his best playing years. From Clarence Seedorf to Kaka to David Beckham, these were some of the biggest names in the sport at the time. However, he felt his trio with Barca was better. “Both tridents made history during their times with the club,” Ronaldinho explained. “Each one did really well, but I prefer the trident formed by me, Samuel Eto’o and Leo Messi.”

Barça fans have a lot of memories from Ronaldinho, Eto’o, and younger Messi. All three scored important goals in the history of the club. Currently, Messi is still doing just that for the club he’s known for many years. However, when Messi was younger, Ronaldinho stood out for Barcelona in the early 2000’s. The Brazilian was unbelievably excellent when he played for Barcelona. Fans never forget the time that he scored one of the best solo goals of all time against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu. It was a goal that even had Madridistas applauding the world-class effort.

Ronaldinho will soon become one of the worldwide ambassadors for the club. In his interview he continued to speak about a familiar member of MSN. That would be his fellow Brazilian Neymar. “I think he’s already among the best in the world,” he added. “One day he’ll be the best in the world. Us Brazilians are waiting for that because he’s an idol for all Brazilian soccer. He’s a great friend, it’s a matter a time for him to be the best in the world.”

Overall, both attacking trios impacted Barca’s dominance over the 21st century. MSN are currently doing everything in their power to keep Barcelona in the 2017 La Liga title race. Messi has won all of the major trophies as a member of both attacking trios. This seems like a good debate and there are ways to argue both of them being better than each other. It’s a really interesting (and slightly biased) opinion from Ronaldinho.
