Barcelona left the Calderon with 2 aways goals and a victory over Atletico Madrid. Here are the player ratings for the match.

Barcelona got the best case scenario out of their Copa Del Rey semifinal first leg. Goals from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez provided the team with a 2-1 away victory to Atletico Madrid. The two away goals will be really important if Barca make the final once again. Here are the player ratings from the match.

Goalkeeper

Jasper Cillessen (5.5) The Dutch goalkeeper had no chance of stopping the lone goal for Atleti. However, he made some bad errors, including one pass which nearly gave Atleti the tying goal.

Defenders

Sergi Roberto (6.5) Roberto is usually good going forward from defense. However, he didn’t provide that in this match. His defense was pretty solid though.

More from Everything Barca

Gerard Pique (8) Once again, Pique led the defense well. As the pressure from Atleti was applied, he had to make good decisions.

Samuel Umtiti (6.5) He did some good things like stopping the big counter attacks that Atleti live off of. In addition to this, he was very good on the ball and he should continue to improve on this important skill.

Jordi Alba (7) Alba had work to do in defense and it took away from some of his attack going forward. It was still another good performance from the Spaniard.

Midfielders

Javier Mascherano (8.5) Mascherano in his normal role as a defensive midfielder is a wonderful thing. He won the ball back that led to the first goal for Barca seven minutes in. Great match from the Argentine.

Ivan Rakitic (5) Rakitic is still lacking confidence as Luis Enrique subbed him off first. He wasn’t at his best yet again.

Andre Gomes (6) He was physical when playing with Rakitic. However, there were too many times in which Gomes lost the ball leading to attacks from Atleti.

Forwards

Lionel Messi (9) Another scintillating goal and performance from number 10. He has scored many goals at the Calderon. The post prevented him from a brace in the Calderon.

Luis Suarez (8.5) 11 goals in the last 12 games for El Pistolero. Another wonderful finish to begin the match going around two defenders and placing the ball in the right corner of the net. When he’s on form he’s hard to stop.

Neymar (8) Neymar won’t play in the second leg after picking up a card leading to a suspension. Despite that, he did everything but score for the team in this very important match.
