The last time a player moved from Real Madrid to Barcelona on a Bosman was the current manager, Luis Enrique. He (or his successor) might be looking to do the same for Isco. Zinedine Zidane has transformed Isco from a promising talent to a flourishing talent. He has earned his spot in the first-team through sheer hard work. But his contract situation with the club has not gone unnoticed. His growth along with his contract saga has alerted Barcelona, who are looking for quality midfielders.

But the poor state of finances at the Camp Nou might make it hard for the club to pull off such a transfer. But this is where Isco’s contract comes in. His current deal expires in 2018 and he has started negotiations with Real Madrid following his breakout performances this year. But reportedly, Barcelona are looking to get him on a free transfer in 2018.

What the club might do is ask him to stay at the Bernabeu for another year and enjoy his run in the first-team. And in the summer of 2018, when his deal runs out, join Barca on a Bosman. But he might look to leave immediately if the talks between his representatives and the club break down. So, who knows. A transfer to Barcelona is what every player secretly desires and he might not able to resist but on the other hand, he might renew his deal or even leave this summer.
