With the contract of Arsene Wenger expiring at the end of the season, Luis Enrique has got the chance to manage another world-class side. Wenger has not done well this season with Arsenal in recent seasons. His inability to go above the 4th position in the Premier League has made him a pale shadow of what he was in the 2003-4 season. He loves the club but is expected to leave.

The Gunners are readying their list of potential candidates to replace Wenger at the end of the season and it surely includes Lucho following his announcement. Lucho can spend on sensible buys, is aggressive and has the attitude to bring Arsenal back to the pinnacle of English football.
