Barcelona find successor to Luis Suarez in the form of Andrea Belotti
It might be the end of the road for Paco Alcacer as Don Balon reports Barcelona’s interest in Torino’s Andre Belotti
The club invested in Paco Alcacer thinking of him as the side’s future in the centre of attack. Alcacer has failed to repay the faith the management showed in him. He has appeared in 13 games for Barca and scored just twice.

With Luis Suarez turning 30, he will start to decline. Despite his brilliant form currently, age will take it’s toll on the Uruguayan. Then, Barcelona will be needing a youngster to step up and deliver. Robert Fernandez signed Alcacer from Valencia in hopes that he would be that player. But in his recent showings, he has proved him wrong.
The alternative
According to Calciomercato, Barcelona has reentered the market for a young forward. And the target is none other than Torino sensation Andrea Belotti. Belotti has been on fire this season. He has scored 22 goals in 24 appearances for the Turin club and has attracted the interest of 3 Premier League clubs.
They are Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United. Reportedly, he received offers from two of these clubs and rejected both, in hopes of an offer from Barcelona. He has got that now. In the historic game against Paris-Saint Germain, Torino officials were in the stands. They were there to listen to Robert Fernandez’s first offer for him.
Andrea Belotti will be very expensive. He will cost upwards of €90 million but it will be a wise investment. His red hot form this season has earned him a rating of 7.73 and he will spearhead the Barcelona forward line when Suarez declines.

The Danish star
Other than Belotti, Robert Fernandez has another striker in mind for succeeding Luis Suarez – Kasper Dolberg. Dolberg has turned out to be a sensation at Ajax. The 19-year old has already cemented his place in Ajax’s first-team and has scored 13 goals in 25 appearances for the Dutch club.
Tribal Football has reported that Barcelona, along with Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, are tracking his progress. Dolberg has the potential to succeed Suarez at Barcelona if he is groomed properly.
