Barcelona managed to come back from another deficit to defeat Valencia 4-2 at Camp Nou. Here are the player ratings for the match.

A very familiar feeling startled the Barcelona fans at Camp Nou this weekend. They found their team down early in the match against Valencia. However, Barca once again managed to find a way to come back strong. A brace from Lionel Messi led Barca to a 4-2 victory over Los Che going into the international break. It will be a good feeling for the players to rest a little and then go play for their respective countries. Here are the player ratings for the match.

Goalkeeper

Marc Andre Ter Stegen (7.5)

Ter Stegen couldn’t do anything about the two goals that Valencia scored. However, he made some important saves to keep it to only two.

Defenders

Samuel Umtiti (7)

Barca are successful when Umtiti gets to start. Once again this was proven as the Frenchmen made no errors yesterday.

Javier Mascherano (7.5)

Mascherano covered well considering the team has made the switch to a 3-4-3 formation. He’ll need to continue this trend.

Gerard Pique (6.5)

Pique made a few mistakes, but ultimately he cleaned up his play in the second half. He prevented Valencia from getting a third goal early in the second half.

Midfielders

Andres Iniesta (8)

Another creative afternoon from Don Andres. He set up many attacks and he looks more fit than he did at the beginning of the season.

Ivan Rakitic (6)

Rakitic was out-muscled by the first goal scorer for Valencia, Mangala. In addition, right after Messi’s penalty kick, he let Munir get a free lease for the second goal. There will be better days for the Croatian.

More from Everything Barca

Rafinha (5)

The midfielder didn’t take advantage of his chances. If he isn’t taking his chances, he won’t get a lot of playing time.

Sergio Busquets (8)

Busquets did a lot of good things like assist for two of the four goals. However, when Valencia were down to 10 men, he wasn’t as sharp. Despite that, a great outing from Sergio.

Forwards

Neymar (9)

Neymar is on a very unique run of great form. While the goals elude him, the skill is still there. He set up the fourth goal late in the match. Another great outing since his heroic performance against PSG.

Luis Suarez (9)

El Pistolero scored on a wonderful strike to even the score. In addition, he earned the penalty late in the first half with a great run toward the goal. Another good outing for the Uruguayan.

Lionel Messi (9)

Messi shines once again when he’s needed to. Two more goal scored for the Argentine and they were certainly important ones. Hopefully, the trend continues when Barca comes back from the international break. However, he’ll miss the next league match against Granada.

Substitutes

Sergi Roberto, Andre Gomes (7,7.5)

Roberto received a great ovation when he came into the match for his winning goal against PSG that will live forever. As for Gomes, he scored for Barca against his former team and did what any player would do in that situation. He didn’t celebrate the goal, but hopefully his confidence grows.

Manager

Luis Enrique (7)

Lucho’s 3-4-3 has been a nice adjustment. However, it doesn’t seem right in the defense. If he starts the right players in defense, the 3-4-3 could work a lot better. However, his team is producing results so that is a positive sign.
