Xavi Hernandez said to A Bola in an interview that the fans of Barcelona need to be patient with recent signing Andre Gomes.

Andre Gomes hasn’t been the signing that Barcelona hoped for so far. The former Valencia midfielder has seen some time on the field. However, his production has been lacking and it has caused concern with the board and the Barca fans all over the world. What does former Barca midfielder and legend Xavi Hernandez think of the Portuguese man? Here is what he said to A Bola.

"“André Gomes made a big difference in Valencia, but Barca is a different team. Barca is a big club and it is such an advanced team, that most players need a full season to get used to the play and to settle in. Many other great players as Thierry Henry, Abidal and Arda Turan went through the exact same thing. People needs to have patience with André Gomes. I am sure that we are going to see him playing with much more confidence, freedom and with a greater understanding of Barca’s play.”Xavi On Andre GomesMore from Everything BarcaFC Barcelona tracking Belgian WonderkidFC Barcelona vs Betis Player RatingsBarça boss Xavi to get contract extensionFC Barcelona planning swoop for Arsenal midfielderBarcelona interested in €30 million wonderkid"
