Barcelona defender Gerard Pique talked about various subjects with Mediaset Italia’s Pomeriggio Cinque including his career with the Blaugrana.

Gerard Pique is one of Barcelona’s most popular players and continues to make his rounds over Europe. As the season comes to a close, the Spanish defender has been in Italy talking with the media. On Mediaset Italia’s Pomeriggio Cinque, Pique talked about many things from his career at Barca to who will be the next manager of one of footballs most storied clubs. In addition to that, he talked about his personal life outside of the game among other things. He first talked about his status with the team as of right now.

"“I am really happy at Barcelona. It’s the club of my life and I want to continue playing for Barca. My idea is to end my career there. I like Italy and Italian football, but my love for Barcelona is very big. Maybe if I was younger and hadn’t had the career I’ve had with Barca, I could have tried Italian football, but I can’t imagine myself away from Barcelona now.”Pique On BarcelonaMore from Everything BarcaFC Barcelona tracking Belgian WonderkidFC Barcelona vs Betis Player RatingsBarça boss Xavi to get contract extensionFC Barcelona planning swoop for Arsenal midfielderBarcelona interested in €30 million wonderkid"

Of course, the biggest story with Barca is who is going to be the next manager. Luis Enrique is set to leave the team after the Catalans play in the Copa del Rey FInal against Alaves at the Vicente Calderon. Gerard Pique gave his thoughts on the potential next manager mentioning a few names along the way like Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri. However, reports suggest that Ernesto Valverde is set to become the Barca manager.

Unfortunately for Barcelona fans, they have to watch their rivals Real Madrid once again inthe Champions League final. In addition to that, the team that knocked Barca out are in the final too and that is Juventus. Pique gave his thoughts on the final and he respects both sides. He talked about how to defeat Real Madrid and how Juventus are really good defensively.

"“It will be a game between two great teams. Juve are a team that have been doing well for a number of years. They have great players like Buffon, who really wants to win the trophy for the first time, and Dani Alves, who is our ex-teammate and it would be nice if he could win it.”Pique On the Champions League Final"
