FC Barcelona transfer rumour update – Aleix Vidal and Lucas Digne
The Milan clubs look to sign two of Barcelona’s young full-backs
Reports from Italy suggest Milan move for Lucas Digne
Lucas Digne has been an important part of the squad this season. His defensive capabilities are good, but he needs to work on his crossing. Luis Enrique has used him to perfection this season. His presence provided stability to a shaky back-line, while he provided good cover for the underperforming Jordi Alba.

But he failed to knock off Alba and nail down a first-team spot. This is mostly due to the fact that he was ineffectual up front. His future at the club is good, at the moment. But if Jordi Alba does not leave, he is not guaranteed first-team football.
This cannot demotivate Digne. But if he feels he needs a change of scenery to realise his potential, Barcelona are in for a lot of trouble. Seeing this opportunity, Inter Milan have expressed interest in signing Digne.
According to Sport, Walter Sabatini, director of football at Inter, has begun negotiations over a potential deal. Sabatini signed Digne from Paris Saint-Germain when he was at Roma. This proves that Digne is a favourite of his and he will try hard to get him.
But it is unlikely that Barcelona will relent. Also, Lucas Digne knows that he has a future at Barca if he works hard and could even make it into the first-team. Whereas, at Inter, the sporting project is a lot less ambitious.
We should all hope that Barcelona do not sell Lucas Digne. He has a lot of unrealized potential that he has to make good of.
AC Milan consider Aleix Vidal as an option for the right-back berth
Aleix Vidal has been having an interesting season at Barcelona. After an abysmal first season, he fell out of favour with Luis Enrique. As a result, Vidal was excluded from the squad for more than half the season. Bur after making a return to the squad and the first-team with good performances, he broke his ankle. He is currently nursing that injury.
Vidal has been linked with multiple clubs during his fall-out period. Napoli, Torino and Sevilla wanted to sign him. He also contacted Sevilla director Monchi over a return to Sevilla. But now, Milan have openly expressed their interest in him.
