The fact that Jeremy Mathieu will leave Barca is obvious. Multiple media outlets have confirmed this, despite Mathieu himself being reluctant to leave. Now, the question arises, where will Mathieu go, and how much will Barcelona get for him.
Previous reports linked with with moves to Sporting CP, Besiktas, Galatasaray and Olympiacos, but Turkish publication Fanatik have reported that Barcelona and Fenerbahce have an agreement for Mathieu.
According to them, Fenerbahce officials met with Barca officials while in France. They were discussing a deal for Mathieu Valbuena of Lyon when they agreed on ‘principle’ to also sign Mathieu. The Turkish giants will confirm the transfer after manager Aycut Kocaman approves the deal.
But Robert will have to settle for a cut-down price because his contract expires in 2018. His current valuation is €5 million. But Barca will have to accept less to get him off the squad and off the wage budget. This will not do Barca’s summer transfer plans much harm, but the club will suffer a loss of almost €15 million.
Marco Verratti deal done
The press has gone wild on Marco Verratti’s possible exit from the Parc de Princes. La Gazetta Dello Sport believe that a deal is already in place. Their stand is also backed by Football Italia.

Apparently, Verratti and his agent Donato di Campli have made it clear to the Paris Saint-Germain management that the Italian playmaker will leave this summer. PSG’s new sporting director Antero Henrique and Di Campli met in Milan and Di Campli reasserted that Verratti will leave.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Donato di Campli visited the Camp Nou twice recently to talk with Barca officials about the deal. The officials convinced him that it would be the best move for Verratti’s career. The deal is now on.
Di Campli has openly confirmed this fact in a statement. He said, “Marco to Barcelona? We’ve let all our thoughts be known to PSG, it’s a hard deal to get done.
I am trying to wield a champion, I ask those questions, and I pull on many threads. Anyone else in my position would do the same. You need to win to be a champion.
If PSG doesn’t wish to sell him despite the offers all around Europe, we then must take a look at ourselves.”
