The Catalans have been linked with a few talented players over the past few weeks, but they need to prioritize in order to be successful next season.

Targets

Barcelona are looking for a right-back, central midfielder and a right-winger in order to bolster the squad for the upcoming season. This has seen them linked with Héctor Bellerín, Nélson Semedo, Marco Verratti and Ousmane Dembélé as the club’s key targets. Although, only one of Bellerín or Semedo is likely to join because the club doesn’t need two right-backs.

Cost

The sheer amount of outlay required to bring in these players mean that they are unlikely to bring all of them in. Dembélé has been priced at around €90m by Borussia Dortmund according to Mundo Deportivo. Verratti is likely to cost at least €100m according to Goal. Semedo is valued at around €50m based on an AS article. Bellerín is likely to cost around £44m, but an ambiguous tweet by him suggests that a move might not be on the cards.

Each of the players would cost a significant amount, and bringing them all in would require cutting the squad down significantly in order to afford them as well as to reduce the wage bill, so that is unlikely.

There is also the likelihood of whether the players could be pried away from the clubs. Dembélé has only been at Dortmund for one season, and Verratti has a contract that runs till 2021, so PSG have considerable leverage over him.
