Barcelona has made a big offer in an attempt to gain the services of PSG midfielder Marco Verratti according to many reports.
Barcelona’s love affair with PSG’s star midfielder continues. The Catalan Giants are set to offer a player+cash for Marco Verratti. According to Italian website calciomercato, Barcelona are looking to offer 65m euros and Ivan Rakitic in order to sign 24 years old. It is no secret that the Italian is Barcelona’s top target. PSG, however, are reluctant to let him go. Verratti has spent four seasons at French capital and is rated as one of the best central midfielders in the world.
A few days ago, PSG released a video in which Verratti said:

Despite that, Catalan giants are not giving up as Barcelona’s Sporting director texted Verratti “We are going to wait until August 31” and yesterday he said in his interview:
"“He currently has a contract [with PSG], so there is little I can say”‘If you want to make something happen with a player who has an ongoing contract then you first need to come to an agreement with his club.’"

Overall, a tug of war is going on between Barca’s hierarchy and PSG for the Italian. It is safe to say both of them don’t know where Verratti is going to play next season but for now, it’s too early to predict as transfer window will not close for more than a month. Barca still has time to make the big offer count in the hopes to land the PSG midfielder.
