According to L’Equipe, Barcelona is close to agreeing terms with Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele

Neymar’s sudden move to Paris Saint-Germain has shocked everyone at Barcelona. Even last season, he was very happy playing under Luis Enrique, even though Barca missed out on the La Liga and the Champions League.

But supposedly, he did not fit in with Ernesto Valverde and wanted out. And after two brilliant performances under Valverde and Gerard Pique’s assertive tweet, he left.

But instead of reeling under the pressure, Barca are looking to pick themselves up and go into the new season with an adequate replacement.

And one of the best players who fall in that bracket is Ousmane Dembele. The Dortmund star has grown exponentially in his debut season with the German club. But one of the few clubs in the world that he can realize his true potential is Barcelona.

Barca have been tracking him since his Stade Rennais days. Robert Fernandez even made an offer for the young Frenchman but he chose to go to Germany instead. But Robert is going back in for the talismanic winger.

L’Equipe reported that the Catalan club have an agreement with Dembele. According to the French publication, Barca have negotiated ‘personal terms’ with Dembele and will give him a contract till 2021.

Real Madrid are also interested in acquiring him, but Dembele would clearly prefer Barca.

"In an interview with Gol, he said, “(Barcelona) is a great club and all players would like to play at a club like that.It is a pleasure to be able to see your name on the list of players who Barcelona want. We’ll be calm and see what happens.”"

According to the Metro, the transfer fee will be in the range of €100 million.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Philippe Coutinho is closer to the Camp Nou than he has ever been. Apparently, club officials Raül Sanllehí and Robert Fernandez flew to London from New York to submit an offer of €100 million for the Brazilian playmaker.

Coutinho’s agent Giuliano Bertolucci is waiting for a response from Liverpool to the offer. Mundo Deportivo have reported that Liverpool will be lured into accepting the offer.

Coutinho did not travel with the Liverpool squad to face Athletic Club in Dublin. He remained behind, citing some ‘discomfort’.
