The inconsistent and injury-plagued Belgian defender was a panic buy by the Barcelona board who were scrambling to get a new centre-back. But he turned out to be a huge disappointment. He played very few games due to injury, and also had an unsuccessful loan spell with Roma.

EA rated him 81 in FIFA 17, but he does not deserve that rating. He should be downgraded to 79, which is a fairer reflection of his abilities.
