FW Lionel Messi – 7

Given a different role than the usual right side of a front three, Messi was dangerous as always. Perhaps should have looked to cut back rather than dribble straight into Keylor Navas about 15 minutes in. From that moment, he looked ready to score at any time, but just couldn’t put the ball in the net. Worst of all, it seemed he had no help.

FW Luis Suarez – 5

This was another one for Barca fans to gripe about how Suarez isn’t good enough anymore, with some poor touches and sloppy passes. He may have lost a step as he crossed the 30-year threshold, but he still has so much to offer. It didn’t come off against Madrid, though, as he missed some chances—including a header on an open net. Never knock his hustle, but it wasn’t the Uruguayan’s best.
