Barcelona left back Lucas Digne has high praise for two of his high-profile teammates, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi.

Left back Lucas Digne continues to try to find his footing with Barcelona. The former PSG defender signed with the Blaugrana after a long stint with the French power. Digne hasn’t been in the news as much for his play on the pitch. However, he’s been a big part of the headlines off the pitch. He helped people who were wounded during the attacks that took place last week in Spain.

According to Spanish reports, the Frenchmen came to the aid of those who go hurt with water and towels. The attack happened when a van ran through people in Las Ramblas killing 14 and injuring many more. Barca players wore jerseys with the city’s name on the back of it along with black armbands to pay tribute to the victims. Digne did feature in the match, a 2-0 victory to open the La Liga campaign.

Digne took the time to talk about playing for Barca and a few of his superstar teammates. Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi have been standouts for the Catalans for over a decade now. Both of them are beginning to get up there in age, but they each are still some of the very best players in the world.

More from Everything Barca

"“If you don’t know what to do with the ball, give it to Iniesta. He’s calm and elegant. When he speaks, everyone listens. He’s the master.”Digne On Iniesta"

Many players have hailed Lionel Messi over the years for his ability to play football at the highest level. However, Messi and Digne have taken up another sport despite his talents on the pitch rather than the court.

"“Open, pleasant, ready to chat. [Messi] is someone who’s easy to get on with on a day-to-day basis. Every now and again, we play basketball together.”Digne On Messi"

When it comes to Barcelona, playing for one of the best clubs in the world is very tough. Despite the talent on the pitch, all of the players have to do well in a system. Digne is still adapting to playing under a system.

"“There are a lot of one on ones, we’re high [up the pitch] on so many occasions. It’s really nice to play that way, although it’s true it demands a lot of you physically.”Digne on the demands of Barca"
