Marc-André ter Stegen (first-choice) : The German ace should be starting only the league games. Ernesto Valverde needs to save him for the Champions League knockout stages. Else, fatigue will overcome him and he will make errors in crucial games.

Jasper Cillessen (second-choice): The Netherlands goalkeeper remains the No.1 for his national team. He can remain sharp through the international games. Also, Valverde should use him in Copa del Rey games and the Champions League group stage games.
