Nélson Semedo (first-choice) : The pacy right-back needs to cover a lot of ground for the team. It is a quality that Barcelona full-backs need to have and he has it, but he also needs rest. He should flit in and out of the first-team on the basis of form and condition.

Aleix Vidal (second choice) : The Spaniard did very well in the latter stages of last season, exhibiting his talent to the world. Ernesto Valverde should be including Vidal in his plans this season. Vidal should feature in the starting lineup in the cup games this season.
