FC Barcelona transfer rumour update – Arda Turan and Henry Onyekuru
Barcelona scout Nigerian talent Henry Onyekuru
Everton made a brilliant move by signing Henry Onyekuru from Eupen last summer. But they had to take a risk nevertheless, considering the current situation in the transfer market, where the big clubs are willing to pay big money to sign youngsters with potential.
That risk is not going to pay off, as the Nigerian talent has got himself on the shortlist of Europe’s top sides. The Merseyside club will certainly not be able to retain Onyekuru next summer, with the forward having a 1:2 ratio of goals to appearances for loan side Anderlecht this season(7 goals in 14 appearances).

In his last game against Royal Excel Mouscron, he scored the winner and unluckily for Everton, the stands were filled with scouts from other clubs, notably Manchester United, Ajax and of course, Barcelona.
Onyekuru would be a brilliant signing if he keeps up his brilliant goalscoring form. With Luis Suárez starting to show signs of age, and Paco Alcácer inconsistent with his performances, the squad would do well with a 20-year with full of promise up top.
But it remains to be seen if the Nigerian can keep up his form. If he has a respectable tally at the end of the season, he would be a good signing for Barcelona, even better than Antoine Griezmann in the long run.
Arda Turan finally relents and agrees to leave
Last season, Barcelona received a huge offer from a Chinese club for Turan. But Turan was reluctant to leave such a prestigious club in pursuit of money. In the summer, he received an offer from Galatasaray to return to his homeland. But he rejected in in favour of a second chance at Barcelona.
With Ernesto Valverde having rejected his requests for first-team football, he has finally understood that he cannot further his career at the Camp Nou. He did not even make the squad for the Copa del Rey tie against second-tier Real Murcia, with José Arnáiz getting the nod ahead of him.
Now, he has informed director of football Pep Segura of his decision.
"He said, “I will not change my opinion, Barça are the best club in the world and to play here was my dream. But the moment’s come for me to go.”"

At the moment, the most likely destination for him is Istanbul. Both the president and coach of Galatasaray want him at the club and will make an offer in January. This time, Turan is expected to accept it and return to his homeland.
