Barcelona : Top 5 players who can succeed Luis Suárez
5. Antoine Griezmann
The Atlético Madrid marksman is one of the best forwards in the world. Ever since he joined Atlético from Real Sociedad in 2014, he hasn’t looked back. Griezmann has scored 65 goals in 123 appearances for the Madrid side, guiding them to the Champions League final, where they lost to neighbours Real Madrid.
The Frenchman also finished third in the 2016 Ballon d’Or, after he led France to the final of the Euros. Despite his impeccable record, one thing can blemish his career, and that is his knack of finishing second.
At Barcelona, he can overcome that tendency to truly be at par with the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Although he would have to adapt his game to fit in at Barcelona, a player of his ability should not have any problems doing that.
But the club would need to return to the market again in 5 years, and hence, Griezmann is not a player who would secure the club’s long-term future.
