FC Barcelona transfer rumour update – Houssem Aouar and Danny Rose
Barcelona plot exchange deal for Danny Rose
Barcelona have not been having a problem at left-back since the club signed Lucas Digne from Paris Saint-Germain last season. The Frenchman has been an able deputy to first-choice Jordi Alba, unlike Adriano and Jérémy Mathieu.

But last season, Alba was inconsistent and it affected the side as a whole. This season, however, he has been excellent, providing 5 assists in 12 appearances in the La Liga. The Spaniard has shown a deep understanding with Lionel Messi on the pitch, which explains the four assists he has provided to the little maestro.
But Barcelona may look to move him on in January. It’s no secret that Danny Rose wants out of Tottenham, and a move may materialise in January. Manchester United are preparing a bid for Rose, offering Luke Shaw in a cash plus player deal.
Barcelona are also looking to do the same, with Jordi Alba the player going in the other direction. But it is insensible to make such a move, for a player who is not an upgrade and is just a year younger.
If Spurs are willing to accept a player exchange, then it’s a good deal. Otherwise, there is no point in offering any cash for Rose.
Barcelona scout Lyon youngster Houssem Aouar
Lyon have had a fantastic start to the season, which is due to the individual brilliance displayed by the players. The likes of Nabil Fekir, Mariano, Memphis Depay and Bertrand Traoré have stepped up their game, but the biggest surprise was the emergence of unheralded youngster Houssem Aouar.
Aouar has proved to be an excellent replacement for Maxime Gonalons, who left for Roma in the summer. Not only has he made the midfield stronger, he has also acted as a winger when his manager demanded it.
It is this aspect of Aouar’s game that make him such an interesting prospect. The fact that he can excel in any position will provide relief to coaches when the squad is undergoing an injury crisis.

Barcelona have scouted Aouar and have contacted his representatives about a potential transfer in the future. It remains to been whether a move materialises, but if it does, the squad will have a proper successor to Sergio Busquets.
