After featuring in Barcelona’s 2-2 draw against Sevilla, youngster Denis Suarez is hoping to contribute more to Barca’s success.
Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez began the month of March with a groin injury. This injury kept the 24-year-old out for a little over three weeks. He picked up that injury in first half of the Catalan Super Cup against Espanyol. At the time, the former Villarreal and Sevilla midfielder was making his first appearance since mid-January. In addition to that, he was making his third start of the calendar year at the time.
However, his only La Liga action in 2018 came at the end of Barca’s 4-2 win against Real Sociedad at the beginning of January. That changed in his return to the team on Saturday in Barcelona’s 2-2 draw against Sevilla. He played for only 15 minutes but he was able to contribute to the unbelievable comeback. This comeback keeps Barca’s unbeaten La Liga run intact and inches them closer to Real Sociedad’s record run in the 1980’s.

Denis is hoping to contribute to Barca’s success. He talked about this in an interview right after the match against Sevilla. The young midfielder is hoping to get his place back with the Blaugrana. He knows it’ll be tough to convince the Barca coaching staff. However, he is determined to play well every time he gets his chance.
"“It’s a happy day as we got a draw in the final minutes and I’m happy to return after two or three months and after injury. I’m happy to come back and I hope I can help more between now and the end of the season. I’m happy to participate again after so much time and I want to keep doing so, playing more and earning myself a place in this team.”Denis Suarez on playing again"
