5. Denis Suárez

Denis Suárez has had limited opportunities this season, making 24 appearances, among which only 8 were starts. But he made good of those opportunities. Perhaps, he didn’t do well enough to break into the first-team but he did make a positive contribution, unlike André Gomes.

Denis has scored 3 goals, and has provided 3 assists this season. He has shown good crossing skills, and has proven himself to be a good passer of the ball. Next season, he is set to become the primary backup of Philippe Coutinho. But he has a few things to work on.

Denis need to improve his finishing, having missed a few opportunities to score. He also needs to look for the killer ball more often. He looks to adopt a policy of passing to his nearest teammate, but that doesn’t work in the final third.
