Just 5 current Barcelona players were selected for the Goal 50

The performance of individual members of the Barcelona first-team are not that impressive on the world stage at this point in time. The club has created an atmosphere in the dressing room where the players are not worried about individual accomplishments, but it does matter.

Players like Sergio Busquets and Gerard Piqué always starred in the list of the best players in the world, and consistently featured in the FIFPro World XI. But this time around, reputed digital publication Goal have found no place for these stalwarts in their list of the world’s 50 best players.
