Barcelona receive loan offer for Malcom from Lazio
Lazio have submitted a loan offer for Barcelona forward Malcom
Since he joined Barcelona in a €42 million deal, 21-year old Brazilian winger Malcom has made just 9 appearances in all competitions, playing a total of 296 minutes. This is certainly not aiding his development, and he needs some more playing time.
Due to his situation at the club, Malcom has attracted attention from Europe and elsewhere. Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande expressed interest in signing him, while Everton were linked with Malcom too. Now, Lazio are the latest club to show interest in him.

The Biancocelesti want to sign Malcom on loan till the end of the season. Lazio sporting director Igli Tare has entered into negotiations with Barcelona over a potential deal, with club president Claudio Lotito contacting the Barça board.
Till date, the club has shown no interest in letting go of Malcom, either permanently or temporarily. That should be the case as the January transfer window progresses, due to the upcoming fixture congestion following the restarting of the Champions League.
Malcom’s development would be served best if he was kept in the squad, and trained with teammates of the highest calibre. But if Ernesto Valverde cannot back that up with playing time for the young Brazilian winger, a loan deal is possible.
But the management should only loan Malcom out to another La Liga club, where he will start almost every game. In this way, he can gain a lot of experience in the La Liga and could be used successfully as a backup to Lionel Messi from next season.
