Barcelona scouts are impressed with Nordsjælland’s Andreas Skov Olsen

Andreas Skov Olsen has reaffirmed his status as the next Kasper Dolberg with his performances for Nordsjælland this season. Barcelona have taken note of his goalscoring guile this season, and are scouting the 19-year old Denmark U-21 international.

Olsen was called up to the first-team squad by Kasper Hjulmand, after an excellent season with the Nordsjælland U-19 team, when he had scored 15 goals in 14 appearances. This season too, the youngster has replicated his form with the first-team.

In 34 appearances in all competitions, the left-footed Olsen has scored 23 goals and provided 4 assists. Currently, he is on a 6-match goalscoring streak. He has also been prolific at the international level, netting 5 goals in 16 appearances across various youth levels.

Olsen would be a good signing for Barça, and inexpensive too. While it is too early in his career for him to get a spot in the first-team squad at the Camp Nou, Olsen would be a good addition for Barcelona B. Abel Ruiz would finally get some competition for minutes.

The La Masia graduate was very impressive in the UEFA Youth League last season, but has failed to replicate his superb goalscoring form this season. His season has been blighted by injuries, as Xavi García Pimienta has been bereft of options up front.

Next. Barça would need a miracle not to win the treble this season. dark

Andreas Skov Olsen would add some flair to the failing attack at Barça B, and maybe even earn a call-up to the first-team squad with his performances. He has already shown his ability to find the back of the net in the first-division, albeit in a lesser European league.
