Cristiano Ronaldo wants Juventus to raid Barcelona this summer

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has asked the Italians to look to Barcelona for favours in their bid to strengthen during the summer.

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo failed to lead the Italian side to Champions League glory and was only able to propel the Old Lady of Turin towards the quarter final stages. In spite of winning the league, Ronaldo has had a poor season at Juventus by his standards and is inevitably going to see his Barcelona rival Lionel Messi win the Golden Ball later in the year.

The Catalans are marching towards the treble and any kinds of lapses in their bid to win all those trophies are unlikely. One of the main reasons that the Blaugrana have to give credit to for potentially winning the triplet is Lionel Messi’s heroics, but also the defensive organisation of the team of late.

While the backline has been absolutely solid, some players have not made the cut in the defensive unit including goalkeeper Jaspen Cillessen. The former Ajax Amsterdam shot stopper has been on the radar of Juventus and he has now confirmed that he will be leaving the club during this summer in search of more playing time.

Italy’s champions have not had a reliable goalkeeper since Gianluigi Buffon’s departure last summer as both- Mattia Perin and Wojciech Szczesny have been unsatisfactory. Jasper Cillessen is too good to be a second choice player at any club and is definitely an upgrade from either of Juventus’ options at the moment.

Cristiano Ronaldo has asked the officials in the Allianz Stadium to make a move for Jasper Cillessen, according to Diario GOL. Ernesto Valverde will be left with no choice but of selling him and Cillessen could command a price of roughly 20 million euros- reasonably so. That said, Ronaldo also wants the likes of Paul Pogba, Tanguy N’Dombele, Adrien Rabiot and Matthijs de Ligt at Juventus next year.
