Barcelona have learned the asking price for Neymar and it could be the final amount set by Paris Saint-Germain for the Brazilian.
Paris Saint-Germain signed Neymar from Barcelona back in 2017 and paid a world-record transfer fee of 222 million euros. However, the Brazil international has not lived up to the price tag set on him and missed the most crucial part of the season. Two years into his career at France, Neymar has requested to leave the club.

In a meeting with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Neymar reportedly told that he feels unsettled at the Parc des Princes and Paris as a whole and misses the Camp Nou which he referred to as his home. Thomas Tuchel and Leonardo- the club’s coach and sporting director respectively- confirmed that the left winger had requested for a transfer indeed.
Neymar has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2022, but Barcelona are desperate to sign him because on their part, the La Liga champions have failed in their attempts to replace their former marksman- Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele being the embodiments of the transfer debacles made by Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Given that Neymar has asked for a return to Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain don’t want to keep a player who does not intend on giving his all to the club and as a result will let him go- but no on the cheap. Fox Sports has claimed that the French giants have slapped a price tag of 300 million euros on the Brazilian forward.
The 27 year old has also been training separately from his teammates in order to force a move away from Paris Saint-Germain and is yet to feature in the Parisians’ friendly fixtures. Barcelona on their part are keen on signing Neymar but have not gotten enough funds after spending lavishly on Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong through the year.
Malcom could leave the club amid reports that Zenit St. Petersburg are interested in signing the forward, but that would earn the Blaugrana just 40 million euros which probably would be Neymar’s demand for an annual salary. Moreover, they are struggling to sell Philippe Coutinho or Ousmane Dembele to make matters worse for themselves.
