Paris Saint-Germain have stated that Neymar won’t feature for them until his future is sorted, leaving Barcelona and Real Madrid to act upon.

Paris Saint-Germain’s superstar frontman Neymar has made it clear to the Ligue 1 champions that he wishes to leave the club, alerting Barcelona and Real Madrid. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club’s owner passively indicated that the Brazilian forward would be up for sale when he stated that none of his players would be conferred to special treatment. First team boss Thomas Tuchel joined sporting director Leonardo in confirming the player’s desire later on.

More from Everything Barca

Initially, it was only Barcelona who was in the transfer market for Neymar and it looked like a clear path between the Camp Nou and its former magician, however, at this point in time, it is anything but. Real Madrid have caught up with their rivals in Neymar’s pursuit and Juventus have also shown interest in signing the ex-Santos winger.

Florentino Perez enjoys the best possible relationship with Paris Saint-Germain and its directors and is on a mission of signing Neymar, or at least stopping his proposed transfer back to Catalonia. The Whites have been offered the option of signing the player on a loan deal for the season with an obligation to purchase him a year later, something that has not been made available to Barcelona, courtesy of the club’s poor relationship.

According to the Fox Sports, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, as well as the other Barcelona superstars in the dressing room are furious with the slow speed of negotiations pursued by the board. Josep Maria Bartomeu’s club has not had a productive summer anyway and that is coming into light once again by the president’s hesitance in paying 200 million euros for Neymar’s signatures.

Real Madrid are thought to be in pole position for the signing of Neymar, though Zinedine Zidane and the likes of Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric are against it due to the player’s off-field antiques and poor work ethic. Nevertheless, Perez is expected to give his all in signing Neymar due to his marketability. Plus, Neymar would be the sole star in Madrid and not have to share the spotlight with anyone else- something that wouldn’t be like it at Barcelona or Juventus.
