As per Fox Sports, it is to be noted that Real Madrid are planning to beat Barcelona in the race to sign Napoli sensation, Fabian Ruiz. They intend to sign him the coming Winter Window.

More from FC Barcelona News

Both Barcelona and Real Madrid have invested heavily on their squads in recent times having bought the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Eden Hazard and Frenkie de Jong. The pair is supposedly after Fabian Ruiz.

The Spanish Midfielder made a move to Italy from Real Betis as a result of a deal which was worth £30 million. The Central Midfielder was bought as a replacement for Chelsea bound Jorghino. As a result of his impressive string of performances, Ruiz received a National call-up which was enough to attract the attention of the Spanish Giants.

Ruiz has been on many European Teams’ radar and the transfer window of Jan 2020 could see him make a move out of Italy. Coming to the race between the Blaugranes and the Los Blancos, the latter are looking to sign him six months ahead of schedule, thus beating their counterparts.

However, the deal might not materialise as there is some bad blood between the Napoli President Aurelio de Laurentii, and the Real Madrid because of a failed negotiation regarding James Rodriguez the past summer. This means that Barca can see the deal work in their favor, if they do decide to go for Ruiz.

No doubt, Ruiz will be an asset to Barcelona and will be a great addition to the list of young players in the squad. Moreover, with Rakitic looking to move out of Spain in the coming Winter window, he can prove to be a valuable replacement for Rakitic.
