The political platform in “Tsunami Democràtic” have been voicing their concerns about their reservations of the arrests of 9 Catalan political and civic leaders since the past month or so.

They are now targeting the El Clasico  to be held in Barcelona next month as a mode to voice their concerns on a global basis, as per Sport.

The El Clasico was originally scheduled to take place this week (26th October 2019) but it is now taking place on December 18 instead. It was proposed that the El Clasico be held on December 4 but both the clubs rejected that proposal.

Despite the change in the date, the venue remains the same and the political group has identified that fact. They have announced the dates for their future protests and one of those dates coincides with December 18. The Spanish football Federation is bound to look into this and in all probability they might just change the venue rather than changing the date once again.

If the venue does change to Bernabeu it will be a big blow to the Blaugranes who have had a shaky start to this season. Real Madrid have endured a shaky start but have been slightly better than the Catalans owing to a lesser injury count.
