Barcelona beat Real Valladolid 5-1 to go top of the La Liga table

After 10 games played, Barcelona are at the top of the league table. The defending champions overtook Granada to take up the first spot with a 5-1 thrashing of 9th-placed Real Valladolid at the Camp Nou, overcoming a run of indifferent form.

There were many talking points from the game, apart from the obvious (Lionel Messi’s return to top form with two goals and assists apiece). With some very important fixtures coming up next month, these issues will be key for Barça.
