Barcelona have thought about making a ridiculously good offer to Paris Saint-Germain for signing Kylian Mbappe in the next summer.

Barcelona captain Lionel Messi may have lifted his sixth Ballon d’Or this week, but what’s certain is that with age catching up, he is slowing down and the Blaugrana need to replace him soon. In a list of only a handful of players who are capable of doing so as per the club, Kylian Mbappe is the spearhead and will be an absolutely expensive signing.

Fox Sports has now reported that the Blaugrana will propose a smashing offer for the Paris Saint-Germain forward in the upcoming summer. Aside of a 120 million euros in cash, Ernesto Valverde’s side will offer France international forwards Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele to the Ligue 1 giants in a bid to land Mbappe’s signature.

Antoine Griezmann arrived into the Camp Nou just this summer for 120 million euros from Atletico Madrid, but has failed to settle at his new club and apparently does not have Lionel Messi’s trust. As a result, Barca will look to get rid of him within just one year of his signing by sending him to his home country in a much easier league.

Ousmane Dembele has meanwhile failed to convince Ernesto Valverde in over two years at the club now. The Frenchman was one of the most promising players in the world at the time of his signing, but soft tissue problems and muscular injuries caused by an undisciplined lifestyle off the field have led to him being on the sales list as well.

Kylian Mbappe on the other hand has been thought as a rightful successor to Lionel Messi as well as Cristiano Ronaldo and Paris Saint-Germain value him at 300 million euros. The French giants are thought to be in contact with Real Madrid already with a move to Spain’s capital looking increasingly likely for Mbappe than Barcelona, who were never really in the race.

La Liga’s defending champions are certainly very ambitious of beating their rivals to the signing of the World Cup winner, but their offer is too good for anyone. While PSG would happily accept it, Barca would have overpaid for a player even of Mbappe’s calibre with that kind of money and thus, they should restructure it before officially sending it out.
