The rumours of the Mexican striker Carlos Vela to Barcelona is doing rounds on the internet syet again. The striker was expected last year but Barcelona ultimately decided to go ahead with Boateng.

However, as per us.as.com, with the injury of Dembele which could keep him out until late Feb 2020, Barcelona are looking to sign a replacement striker in Carlos Vela in the coming Winter Window.

The striker from LAFC has expressed his desire to play for the Spanish Giants in Barcelona and Real Madrid, even if it means playing on a temporary basis. He just wants to “enjoy, learn and come back” if he does end up in Catalonia.

The deal however, looks complicated and while there is a fine margin of possibility that it might materialise it looks unlikely. The Blaugranes might explore other options.

Dembele has had an average season but has been largely inconsistent with his match-fitness throughout his short ongoing stint at the Camp Nou. Hence, it is unclear if the Valverde led management has run out of patience with him.

The defending La Liga champions should let go of Dembele as they need match-fit players to be available for selection at all times. Ousmane has been inconsistent in that area and his performances haven’t been too noteworthy either. He should be either sent on loan or should be sold for a decent sum of money.
