More from Everything Barca

Van de Beek has all the talent to become the next Ajax star that joins Barca alongside his former teammate, Frenkie de Jong. Both the Spanish giants have sent a representative to Ajax to try and initiate a possible move for the midfielder at the end of this season.

the Netherland international is not new to the concept of a transfer away from Ajax with many clubs looking to sign the 22-year-old last season but Ajax managed to retain at least one of their stars.

Ajax have now approved the youngster for a move away from Eredivisie next season and Real Madrid have already taken the next step and sat down with the player’s agent and club representatives to facilitate the transfer. Barcelona, however, have not given up on the midfielder as they believe its the player’s choice to decide which club he would like to join.

The Dutch international is expected to cost between €50 and €60 million. Real Madrid would have no problem paying this amount whereas Barca have asked Ajax sports director, Marc Overmars, for a little more time to figure out their priorities regarding the next reinforcement for the upcoming season.
