Ruiz has been touted as one for the future and it does not make sense to exclude a teenage sensation from the future plans, especially when you’re looking at replacing the likes of Suarez and Messi in the coming days.

Ernesto however, has taken into consideration the likes of Ansu Fati and Carles Perez. The Blaugranes manager has a unique method of handing a litmus test to the youngsters and it seems as if Ruiz hasn’t passed the one that he would’ve liked to cross. Moreover, his current tally of 3 goals in 13 games doesn’t exactly help his situation.

Ernesto Valverde has been working on his plans and he has been working hard. He has even gone on to exclude Rakitic from them and is now eyeing a replacement for Pique. Barcelona should consider giving Ruiz a bit more time as it is dream for many to feature in the first team of Barca and Abel probably needs a bit more time to realize it. Valverde needs to hand out more opportunities to these prospects and then get a definitive conclusion on their playing styles, mindset and compatibility with his plans.
