The Spanish champions are starting their transfer planning in January and reports claim that if the PSG star performs like he is reputed to, then he will be among the top priorities once again.
The 27-year-old has been publically open about wanting a move back to Camp Nou since his departure in 2017. Recently, reports claimed that the French side are willing to sell the Brazilian for 220 million euros and use the money to renew the world cup winner Kylian Mbappé’s contract.
Since Neymar has not signed any contract renewals with PSG, he will be allowed to claim the FIFA clause to force his departure as he would be entering his third season with the French side. The report states that FIFA’s set formula has led to the calculation that Barca will have to pay 180 million euros to bring the Brazilian back to the Nou Camp.
Barca are looking to settle their books in the January transfer window. Though most of that fund would be covered by the inevitable sale of Philippe Coutinho, The Catalan giants will have to really think if they are willing to spend the massive amount on an undisputed talent who will be 28 years old when they reunite.
