Former Barcelona winger open to Real Madrid move

Former Barcelona winger and current Wolverhampton Wanderers star publically admits being interested in Real Madrid as a possible La Liga destination.

Adama Traore was a La Masia student for over eleven years before departing for Premier League side, Aston Villa, in 2015 for a fee of €10 million.

After a year of both U23 and first-team action, Traore joined Middlesbrough for €8.5 million, where he managed to make 71 appearances.

He later joined the Wolves in 2018 for a transfer fee of  €20 million where he has become a star ever since, due to his impressive pace and physique.

In a recent interview, the Spaniard opened up about his desire to return to his homeland amid interests from Spanish Giants Real Madrid,

"“Yes, why not? [return to Spain] But I made a promise to be one of the best in England,. the 23-year-old told Jugones de La Sexta program"

When asked if he would ever join the Catalan’s arch-rival Los Blancos, the Spain international said,

"“If I have to go to Madrid, I will leave.”"

The Former Barca winger also spoke about his departure from the reputed La Masia academy,

"“There was a misunderstanding with Barcelona when I left the club, it was not the best manner of exiting the club but that is a story I will keep to myself,” he added"

Traore has managed to score 5 goals and provide 7 assists in 31 appearances this season, and his ability to have such physique genetically while being a pacy winger has attracted Real Madrid.

The Spaniard’s current contract runs until 2023 and with his recent pictures of his physical change over the last decade going viral, his market value has also seen an increase, currently being at €28 million according to Transfermarkt.
