Manchester United interested in Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal
Manchester United enter the race to try to lure Arturo Vidal away from Barcelona.
For a player who has divided opinions among Barcelona supporters, Arturo Vidal is turning into a highly sought after transfer target.
According to Football365, Vidal’s agent has traveled to England to meet with Manchester United and discuss a potential deal for the Chilean midfielder.

Injuries to both Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay has left the Red Devils short on depth and experience in midfield.
Signing Arturo Vidal would certainly fill both areas of need.
However, Manchester United face a few obstacles should they want to acquire his services.
One, Barcelona have already come out and declared Vidal “untouchable” and do not want him to leave during the winter transfer window.
Two, they face competition from Inter Milan who have been after the player for quite a while now.
With Antonio Conte as Inter manager and their relationship between he and Vidal when they were both at Juventus is seen as something in their favor.
But where United may have an edge over Inter is in the amount they are willing to spend.
Should Barcelona entertain any offer, they are seeking at least €20 million. Given the spending power of the Premier League, what the Catalans are looking to receive is reasonable. For Inter, that may be out of their price range.
A report out of Italy, though, suggests that Inter have agreed to raise their offer for Vidal. Whether it’s what Barca want or can match the amount Manchester United may offer remains to be seen.
Regardless, it’s going to take an offer that the club cannot refuse to let go of the Chilean. He’s seen as a crucial player to Ernesto Valverde and a player he does not want to lose.
