Jose Mourinho hopes for the signing of Barcelona regular soon
Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho is keen on making a Barcelona regular as his first signing with his new employers this year.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has done a good job in bringing his side to stability in north London following Mauricio Pochettino’s shock sacking. However, it won’t be for long that the Lilywhites stay intact because there is a need for revolution in some positions and El Desmarque claims that the club will look to sign a Barcelona star in the process.

Portugal international Nelson Semedo is the option that has enticed Jose Mourinho, whose only option at right full back for the time being is Serge Aurier. Davinson Sanchez does play in the wider position, but his natural position is that of a central defender and since losing Kieran Trippier to Atletico Madrid, Spurs have lacked basically everything on their right.
Nelson Semedo is an integral part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans and does rotate often with Sergi Roberto as the right back, but it remains to be seen whether he has the backing of the board and senior players because of his displays. Semedo has been caught napping and incomplete in both areas of the field, raising concerns over his position.
Barcelona will reportedly be fine with the prospect of letting go of Nelson Semedo, but in the summer and Jose Mourinho will look to capitalize on his chance of pouncing on the Blaugrana. The former Benfica defender would be better off in the Premier League at a club of relatively lesser pressure than Barca should he end up making the move.
Signing a right back in the summer is imperative for the Blaugrana and they have apparently shortlisted a few options in this regard. Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich tops the wish-list, while La Masia graduate Adama Traore is also a constituent. Lukas Klostermann of RB Leipzig and Leicester City’s Ricardo Pereira as well remain options for the Spanish giants.
Who do you see playing regularly as a right back for the Catalans from the next season?
