Erik ten Hag

Many regard Ten Hag as the perfect manager to understand the Barcelona way without having any prior connection to the club. Erik’s greatest strength as a candidate is his similarities with the Barca DNA as both Ajax and the Catalans share their long term relationship with Legendary player and coach, Johan Cruyff. This has resulted in comparisons between the Ajax coach and Guardiola’s playstyle which adds to his profile as the ideal replacement.

Ten Hag has become a sensation among the Ajax supporters as he brought them their first Eredivisie championship in five years. The Dutch side’s brilliant Champions League run last season, defeating giants such as Real Madrid and Juventus, to make it to the Semi-Finals is proof of his excellence.

Mauricio Pochettino

The 2019 Champions League finalist was recently been sacked by Tottenham after their poor performances this season. The Argentine is currently looking for a managerial job resulting in many rumors linking him with Barca. The former Spurs coach had previously stated that he would rather work on his farm in Argentina than move to Barcelona as he has a strong affection for former club Espanyol, who are local rivals.

Having said that, with no available jobs,  Pochettino’s ambitions might drive him to take this opportunity of a lifetime and use his experience and talent to become one of the greatest at Camp Nou.
