One of Zinedine Zidane’s prime targets may be moving to Barcelona after Real Madrid’s directors have overlooked his potential signing.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have chased several mutual targets over the course of the last few years, with the players being equally divided with their preferences. While some have opted to move to the Camp Nou, there has been a fair number that has favoured a transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Diario GOL has claimed that the Blaugrana are now interested in signing prime Real Madrid target Paul Pogba in the summer from Manchester United. Zinedine Zidane is a massive fan of the midfielder and wants Florentino Perez to sign him, but the team’s seniors are vetoing his arrival due to the player’s off-field lifestyle.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has opened up on the player’s situation at the club and passively indicated that he does not seem to be interested in what’s going on. On the other hand, Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has publicly slammed Manchester United calling it a club that is no more able to fulfil players’ ambitions and is spoiling talents.

Quique Setien is aware that the France international would be willing to leave the Old Trafford this summer and has added him to his wish-list knowing that he may be without Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal during the next season. With that said, he was offered to the Catalans after Andres Iniesta’s exit, so a move is very much on the cards now.

Apart from Real Madrid and supposedly now Barcelona, Juventus have also shown interest in him and the player himself seems most keen on a return to Turin in case something with regards to Spain doesn’t go through. Paris Saint-Germain are also candidates in the hunt for Pogba, but they already boast a good midfield now so they don’t need anyone for the moment.
