Barcelona’s priority to sign a striker has forced them away from one of the hottest talents in Europe and RB Leipzig have now emerged as the favorites.

Barcelona’s former youth player, Dani Olmo, was heavily linked with a return to the Nou Camp with reports claiming the club would bid for the youngster in the summer transfer window as they did not plan to do any deals this month.

This plan is no longer the course of action as the latest long term injury to Luis Suarez has highlighted the lack of a proper no. 9 in the current Barca squad when the Uruguayan is unavailable.

Mundo Deportivo now suggests that the priority has shifted away from the midfielder as the board is currently focusing on bringing in a striker, thus making Olmo no longer an option for the Catalans.

Mundo Deportivo also reports that the current Bundesliga leaders, RB Leipzig, have emerged as the favorites to capture the talented European, with reports claiming that the Dinamo Zagreb midfielder will soon have his medical done with the German club.

The Spanish youngster wants a move away from the Croatian side as he desires a tougher competition to help him secure a spot at the Euros.

The 21-year-old is also wanted by Milan while Dinamo Zagreb themselves are trying to renew the player’s contract which is expiring in 2021. RB Leipzig could be a good opportunity for the talented attacking midfielder who could eventually join the Catalans in the future.
