One of Barcelona’s potential candidates to sign as an immediate replacement for Luis Suarez has made up his mind to join the current Premier League leaders, Liverpool.

Recent reports claim that Barcelona are in a pursuit to sign a No. 9 immediately, as a long-term injury to Luis Suarez has left the club without a proper replacement for the Uruguayan.

One of the players linked with a move to the Nou Camp was RB Leipzig striker, Timo Werner. Reports, however, now suggest that Liverpool have been handed a huge boost to sign the star youngster.

The 23-year-old was the most preferred prospects to sign, after Lautaro Martinez, for the Spanish Champions. He is currently in world-class form, fighting for the Bundesliga top scorer spot alongside Robert Lewandowski who is currently at 21 with Timo at 20.

Reports claimed that Barca were looking to secure the world-class prospect for a bargain fee of around €30 Million, but Don Balon claims that Liverpool are now favorites to sign the German international for €54 Million (£46million).

This is because of Werner’s desire to move to the Premier League next season, and while Liverpool are in no hurry to sign an attacker, they would not want to miss out on such a promising talent.

The Catalans are in desperate need of someone like Timo, who would bolster their attacking after their recent endeavor against Valencia showed that the squad is not facing any issues to keep possession but are struggling to score goals.

The report claims that Liverpool will be leading the race to sign the youngster while Manchester United and Chelsea are also keeping a lookout as both the clubs are in search of a striker.
